2025
Oil on canvas
11” x 14”
This image was taken of in 1911 in a photo studio set located in what is now the Post Office in Washtucna, WA. This woman, identified as “Wild Rose” The Washington Cow Girl, is otherwise unknown. She’s posing with scratched rifle and a pistol on her belt - She appears to be a rugged, working woman who did not conform to our typical modern understanding of early 1900’s femininity.
