About Me:
I am a Seattle-based Oil Painter and Mixed-Media Artist. I enjoy experimenting with a wide array of mediums. Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, I graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee in 2020 with a Bachelor’s in both Fine Art and Psychology.
I moved to the Seattle area in June of 2021 and spent time working in the specialty coffee industry before shifting my career focus to the Arts. In addition to my personal art practice, I am proud to be the Museum Store Manager and Social Media Manager at Cascadia Art Museum in Edmonds, Washington.
I paint a wide variety of subjects, though my favorites include portraiture and scenes of everyday life. Many of my paintings are inspired by regional historical imagery - I am drawn to the timeless connection of the human condition in these snapshot moments from long ago. I have also been experimenting with using patterned fabrics as my canvas surface, strategically incorporating the design as an element, texture, or pattern hidden within the painting.
